METHOD

  1. Fry the masala ingredients and powder them.
  2. Take 2 tsps of tamarind paste and mix it with 2 cups of water.
  3. Heat little oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it.
  4. After it crackles, add asafoetida and tamarind water mixture.
  5. Allow to boil till the raw smell goes.
  6. Add salt and curry leaves and boil for 2 minutes.
  7. Make a mixture of rice flour and water. Add it to the kuzhambu and keep it in the stove for a minute.
  8. Serve the kuzhambu hot with rice.
Ingredients

2 tsp - Tamarind paste asafoetida - a pinch salt - to taste 
Curry leaves - a few 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds 

For masala: 
2 tsp - Urad Dal 
1/2 tsp - black pepper 
5 to 6 - red chillies 
1/2 tsp - Tuvar dal 
2 tsp - coconut ( if needed )
